have never seen eye to eye

it's more than a difference of stature
a shift of angle and perspective
caused by whimsical genetics

i'd like to think it's because i'm
older
more experienced

but i know (i've always known)
it's because you've never been on earth
not really (not like me)

your feet have never touched the ground
arms spread in flight with
your head always scraping the stars
